Tim,
Per my previous response to "newbie", when I bought my 71 LAPD Ambo, the
guy also gave me the windscreen with it, wasn't on the bike. Brackets
were installed, but the screen was yellowed and the bottom portion
cracked. Found out it was original and was a Harley windscreen made by
National Cycle. Went to a local Harley dealer and ordered all
replacement plexiglass (with beading as original). They had it all
listed in their V-Twin book, screen is made by National Cycle. Whole
setup was $170, not sure if this included the brackets or if they were
listed seperately. Looks sharp on the bike, mine is clear up top and
blue on bottom, as originally installed in 1971 (looks very police
like). Saw the same windscreens in the MG Big Twin book.
Good Luck!

Anyone have any opinions as to a windshield that would work/look good on a civilian Eldo? I have heard that the original style windshield brackets are hard to find. Tim 73 Eldo |
