Subject: engine gasket question.

Let say that I wanted to pull the heads off of my current ride, just to
have a look-see at the cylinders and valves.

Would I "have to" replace the base gaskets on up, or just replace the
head gaskets???

I have a new gasket set, but was hoping to get by on the cheap.
