check for:

forks being straight
engines turn over, take a wrench to turn it
busted fins
generator mount holes are good
exhaust threads are good
transmission fill plug hole is not stripped
rear end fill plug is not stripped
see if any modifacations have been made that will hard to overcome (ie,
butchered or chopped)
if the transmission is out, check the input splines for wear
if the rear wheel is off check for drive spline wear
if the universal is out check it for slopp
if the bike is all together, put it on the center stand and rotate the rear
wheel in and out of gear, to see if there is excessive play
sidecover and toolboxes make sure they are ther, they are expensive

I have a checklist I use for basket case loopframes, it lists All of the
parts and works nicely to remind me of what to check, if there is a big
pile of parts, it is easy to overlook something. If enough are interested,
I'll post it to the website.

 Hi All,

I'll be looking at an Ambo tomorrow evening. I believe it is a 69.

From what I know it is a complete bike and supposidly there are two engines
with it. I'm not sure if it is running.

Any ideas as to the worth of it?

I know that it is hard to get an idea as to the value from the little info
that I have giving but I would appreciate the input. Also....what should I
be looking for? I know that I want a complete bike and I will be checking
the serial numbers and the various parts.

I'll let you know what I find out.
