The reason the shift pattern is reversed is that when footboards are fitted,
a different linkage is used & the lever attached to the back of the gearbox
is fitted pointing left not right thereby reversing the shift pattern.

While we are on the subject of floorboards, do any of you that have them
on
 your old bike experience high vibration at hiway speed? Mine vibrate
enough
 to make my feet tingle. Is the timing off a little on the motor or is this
normal?
