Low fuel float, electric fuel valve, rear brake master cylinder fluid level, power to left toggle switch (for the V1000 I-Convert and V1000 G5 only)

The V1000 I-Convert and V1000 G5 use a specific harness that makes connections to the low fuel light, electric fuel valve, rear brake master cylinder fluid level, power to left toggle switch. Make the connections as follows:
- At the fuse panel:
- Identify the sheath that contains two wires: a solid brown wire and a blue/black wire.
- Connect the solid brown wire to Fuse 2.
- Connect the blue/black wire to Fuse 5.
- At the rear brake master cylinder:
- Identify the shorter sheath that contains two wires: a solid brown wire and a solid black wire.
- Connect the solid brown wire to one of the two terminals on the top of the rear brake master cylinder fill cap.
- Connect the solid black wire to one of the two terminals on the top of the rear brake master cylinder fill cap.
- At the electric fuel valve/petcock located on the left side of the fuel tank, near the rear:
- Identify the longer sheath that contains two wires: a solid brown wire and a solid black wire.
- Connect the solid brown wire to one of the two terminals on the electric petcock.
- Connect the solid black wire to one of the two terminals on the electric petcock.
- At the low fuel float located on the right side of the fuel tank, near the front:
- Identify the sheath that contains two wires: a solid gray wire and a solid black wire.
- Connect the solid gray wire to one of the two terminals on the low fuel float assembly.
- Connect the solid black wire to one of the two terminals on the low fuel float assembly.
- At the dash:
- Identify the sheath that contains three wires: a solid gray wire, a solid brown wire, and a blue/black wire.
- Connect the solid gray wire to the low fuel indicator bulb.
- Connect the solid brown wire to the low brake fluid level indicator bulb.
- Connect the blue/black wire to the left toggle switch. Connect this wire to the middle terminal on one side of the toggle switch. (the yellow wire will be connected to the terminal on either end on the same side as the blue/black wire.
- Black wires with ring terminals:
- Connect both of the black wires with ring terminals to ground.
