Step 4: Install the sub-harness that connects the coil to the distributor

Make the connection at the coil
- Connect one end of the black wire to the negative terminal on the coil. If you have a Magneti Marelli coil, the black wire will have a 5 mm ring terminal at the coil end. If you have a Bosch coil, the black wire will have a female spade terminal at the coil end.

Make the connection at the distributor
- Connect the other end of the black wire to the post on the side of the distributor. The post is shared with the wire from the condenser.
