The throw-out bearing used on V700 and the earliest Ambassador models is ID: 10 mm, OD: 20 mm, Width: 3 mm. I have sourced a suitable needle bearing replacement. No, it isn't metric. But it is cheap, it works, and it doesn't involve removing the transmission so the case can be bored for the commonly available larger bearing.

Thanks to Piotr Sawiak for providing the following information on the size of this ball bearing.

The throw-out bearing used on very early V700 models was a single ball located between the end of the clutch push rod and the inner body. The size of the ball bearing is 5 mm. McMaster-Carr part number 1598K26 would be a good choice for a replacement ball bearing.
