Thanks to Paul Linn and Charlie Mullendore of Antietam Classic Cycle who posted this information on the old Yahoo! Loopframe_Guzzi news group (which has now moved to Groups.io).
The original boot for the ignition switch (MG# 13735840; as used on police models where the switch was located in place of the left tool box) has the following dimensions:
- Length = 58 mm (~2.3 inch)
- Large end inside diameter = 40 mm (~1.6 inch)
- Small end inside diameter = 12 mm (~0.45 inch)
McMaster-Carr part number 5298K82 is a suitable substitute.
