The original screws for the CEV 169 handlebar switches (and CEV models other than the 169) are 4 mm × 0.7 mm × 30 mm slotted oval-head machine screws. The original diameter of the head is 6.1 mm, a size not readily available today. The best replacement I've found is a 4 mm × 0.7 mm × 30 mm Phillips oval-head machine screw, but with a head diameter of 7.25 mm. These fit and work very well, despite the differences from original. McMaster-Carr part number 90258A232 is an excellent source for a replacement.
