Buy AMP Superseal 1.5 series connectors

I needed to repair a terminal for one of the electrical connectors (plug) on my Quota. Rather than bodge things together, I wanted to use the proper components. The first challenge was to determine who manufactured the electrical connectors used on the Quota (and other Moto Guzzis of similar ilk). I discovered that Tyco Electronics makes the connectors and that the style used on my Quota were AMP Superseal 1.5 series connectors.

With that information, I sourced the components I needed.

• Single wire seal, Tyco Electronics part number 281934-2
• Male terminal, Tyco Electronics part number 183024-1
• Female terminal, Tyco Electronics part number 183025-1

Disassembly/assembly was straight forward and I used a W style crimper to secure the terminal to the wire.
