Front turn signal extensions

Applicable to these part numbers:

Routing on civilian models:

The extensions are routed from each turn signal, along either side of the steering neck, to under the fuel tank in the space provided by the frame.

Routing on police models:

The extensions are routed from each turn signal, through the holes in the upper triple tree plate, to the toggle switch under the dash.

  1. After you have routed all of the wires, have test fit the fuel tank, and know precisely the length you need, connect the extension wires to the turn signal wires. Please plan carefully, too much length is nearly as bad as not enough.
    1. Cut the provided extension wires to length.
    2. Cut the provided sheathing to length.
    3. Slide the sheathing over the extension wires.
    4. Slide the provided heat shrink over the extensions.
    5. Strip the insulation from the end of the extension wire.
    6. Strip the insulation from the end of the turn signal wire.
    7. Crimp the striped ends together using the provided butt crimp.
    8. Slide the heat shrink over the butt crimp and shrink it.
    9. Slide the sheathing over the finished assembly.
  2. Connections on civilian models:
    1. The white/black wire with the 6.3 mm female spade terminal is connected to the 3 connection female spade connector distributing current to the right turn signal circuit.
    2. The yellow/black wire with the 6.3 mm female spade terminal is connected to the 3 connection female spade connector distributing current to the left turn signal circuit.
  3. Connections on police models:
    1. The white/black wire with the 6.3 mm female spade terminal is connected to the white/black wire connected to the toggle switch via its piggyback terminal. A piggyback terminal is a normal female spade terminal, but with an extra male spade terminal on the side. The white/black wires distribute current to the right turn signal circuit.
    2. The yellow/black wire with the 6.3 mm female spade terminal is connected to the yellow/black wire connected to the toggle switch via its piggyback terminal. A piggyback terminal is a normal female spade terminal, but with an extra male spade terminal on the side. The yellow/black wires distribute current to the left turn signal circuit.

Rear turn signal extensions

Applicable to these part numbers:

The extensions are routed from each turn signal to the tail light.

  1. If the existing wires connected to your turn signals are long enough, you may only need to crimp on the provide female bullet terminals. If the existing wires are no long enough, proceed with extending them with the provided wire and sheathing.
  2. After you have routed all of the wires and know precisely the length you need, connect the extension wires to the turn signal wires.
  3. The white/black wire with the 6.3 mm female spade terminal is connected to the white/black wire exiting the rear fender from the turn signal harness. The white/black wire distributes current to the right turn signal circuit.
  4. The yellow/black wire with the 6.3 mm female spade terminal is connected to the yellow/black wire exiting the rear fender from the turn signal harness. The yellow/black wire distributes current to the left turn signal circuit.
