Route the sheaths near the battery:

Civilian V700, Ambassador & Eldorado

  1. The sheath containing the one yellow wire, one black wire, and one green wire gets routed down to the left side of the transmission near the starter. I always route these wires between the battery tray and the rear fender in the little triangle space that is available there. I route the wires straight down behind the swing arm member, and then route them forward toward the starter area.
  2. The one yellow wire needs to be routed to the tail light. There is a hole in the front of the fender (on the left side). Route the yellow wire through that hole (aren't you glad you removed the rear wheel?!!). Route the wire through the hole in the rear fender nearest the tail light. Don't take the time to secure the wire in place within the metal retaining clips, I do that after everything is in place.
  3. The thick battery cable needs to be routed to the starter area as well. I route it the same way that I do the other sheath.

  3. The sheath containing one purple wire and one gray/black wire is routed to right side of the voltage regulator.
